Priest: Introductory words

Reader: Christ is present to N. and N. in this Sacrament of Matrimony.  We pray that He will continue to make his presence felt throughout their lives.

Lord Hear us.

Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

Reader: We ask God's blessing upon the families and friends of this couple.  Their love and friendship have brought N. and N. to this happy day, may God bless them and may they continue to give their love and support in the years ahead.

Reader: We pray for couples and young families everywhere.  May God give them strength to meet the challenges of life with confidence and joy.

Reader: We pray for those friends and members of our families who cannot be with us today but who are with us in spirit.  May God bless them all.  We remember also in our prayers those dear to us who are now with the Lord. Eternal rest grant to them, O Lord, and let prepertual light shine upon them.
