Friends of the Holy Land Talk

  • Farmstreet Church 114 Mount Street London, England, W1K 3AH United Kingdom (map)

Friends of the Holy Land are honoured to welcome Rev. John M. Paul SJ, Rector of the Tantur Ecumenical Institute in Jerusalem which seeks to provide an “oasis” where people can encounter the sacredness of others’ faiths, traditions, and places in a visit to London.

Fr John Paul will speak at Farm Street Church on the evening of Thursday 16th October on the theme of The Voice of Christians in the Holy Land: A Catalyst for Hope & Reconciliation. During the evening, he will share first-hand insights on the current situation and the growing ecumenical voice of Christians in the Holy Land as a powerful catalyst for hope and reconciliation. Building upon this theme he will outline how, although the Christian communities represent only 2% of the population, the depth of their presence and pastoral outreach can counter rising polarisation in the region in unprecedented ways and challenge - How can Christians in the UK support this voice?

Following this special discussion and Q&A there will be a simple reception; for those unable to attend in person, the event will be livestreamed.

To help with preparing for the reception or to receive the online link to watch the event, please register here www.friendsoftheholyland.org.uk/forms/a-catalyst-for-hope-reconciliation.  If you wish to submit a question in advance, kindly include it when you register.
